Greetings, my gorgeous gals and guys!

Ted Baker
I love fall and winter.  I love the crisp air, the smells of the holidays and the autumn color palette.  And, as a true fan of the color black, it's great to see the dark blues, browns and blacks that are all wrong for summer but are perfect for cuddling into in the overcast days and early darkness of winter.  I'm a HUGE devotee of the monochromatic look, too; don't you just adore the long lean lines of head to toe charcoal or black that make you look taller, slimmer and more confident?  But!  As much as I appreciate the chic, stylish ensembles that dark colors create, I also love adding a pop of color that expresses my personal style.  And this fall and winter, an ideal way to get that pop is with a bright bag.  It's a trend that is also a classic!

Rebecca Minkoff
The new bags are satchels and hobos, shoulder bags and cross-bodies, large and small, flat and overstuffed.  What they have in common is that they are full of deeply saturated color.  Ted Baker showed lipstick red.  Rebecca Minkoff's hot color is teal green.  Opening Ceremony has a brilliant orange.  Tory Burch's models carried mustard yellow and deep purple.  Diane Von Furstenburg's bags are hot pink.  Can't you just see one of those colors as the accent to a chocolate brown coat, or with black leggings and a black tunic sweater?  And it's not just the monochrome looks that pop with a bright bag.  Jeans and a sweater, leather pants, pencil skirts with ladylike blouses all get a stylish lift from a colorful handbag.  And they're available in all price ranges so you can indulge without guilt.  Cool, huh?

Tory Burch
You know I love combining clothes or accessories I already have with new pieces to stay on trend without sacrificing style.  I'll be buying a satchel in true red patent leather to go with my cool toned dark colors and a slim envelope in forest green to compliment my warm toned pieces.  I'll switch 'em up and play with color combinations.....it's like Barbies for adults.  I can't wait!  Have fun with it but remember, "trend" is today, "style" is forever!!!!
